Any iPhone users wanna take a crack at this one?

I think Judy nearly answered her own question.
Please help me to understand: The economy is going to hell, unemployment is skyrocketing, people are wrenching from the pain of gas prices, and yet they will stand in a line for hours to spend hundreds on an electronic device also known as a "toy" to some.

I would only say that the people standing in line; probably not the same people who are unemployed, or necessarily "wrenching from the pain of gas prices."

Um, some people may think it's a "toy"—probably the people who don't have one—but most of us who do have one think it's easily the most amazing and useful electronic device in, oh, the history of the universe.

Poor Judy not only will she every understand the draw of an iphone or good wine. She also will never understand society in general because she only lumps everyone into one big catagory "not me"

Is wrenching from the pain even grammatically correct?

I'm really sick of people bitching about high gas prices. But I have to admit that it makes me feel pretty smug about buying gas as infrequently as I do.

I think if you use wrenching as the intransitive verb it works, maybe.

Fuck, I don't know how to parse a sentence. I think since there's a subject and an object in her sentence, wrenching becomes a transitive verb? And in that case, wrenching would be the wrong word?

That's what happens when you use a thesaurus recklessly. Not pretty my friends, don't let it happen to you.
